FoodPeckers - About us

Unknowingly our journey began about 30 years ago… since then we have always been on the hunt for flavours and emotions in the places and foods that tasted of nature.

In 2006 we have united our strengths: over ten years of international experience in tourism and in the food sector, continuous collaboration with Slow Food (www.slowfood.com), our studies - Degree and Master - at the University of Gastronomic Sciences (www.unisg.it), all this combined with the knowledge of many foreign languages award us with the right competences to offer food & wine journeys and selected natural foods of the highest quality.

Guided by imagination, intuition and inspiration we have identified ourselves with the woodpecker, an exceptional creature with a unique attitude: innocent, sweet, curious and shrewd. In its eagerness to find the small things behind the hard bark of trees, we recognize ourselves; we too are attentive in the search for the small, sometimes hidden details. Just like the woodpecker, we have learned how to use all of our senses to rediscover the true tastes in life.

These, simply, are the spirits and the values of the experiences with FoodPeckers.

The scenes amidst which I passed my childhood were marvellous… the green prospects on every side made it seem as if the mountains were thrusting upwards of their volition: the majestic peaks filled the distance and the charm of nature lay all around.
